Steven J. Ohsie, M.D., is board certified in Dermatopathology as well as Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. He received his medical degree from the  University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Newark, New Jersey. He began his first year pathology residency at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, New York.

He completed his Pathology residency at the University of California Los Angeles Center for Health Sciences. He continued with fellowship training at UCLA and completed a GI/Liver Pathology fellowship under Dr. Galen Cortina and a  Dermatopathology fellowship under Dr. Scott Binder.

Dr. Ohsie is a member of the College of American Pathologists, where he previously served on the Education Committee, and the American Society of Clinical Pathology. He has performed editorial reviews for the following journals: Melanoma Research, European Journal of Dermatology and Venereology and Histology and Histopathology. In addition, he has authored papers in his areas of interest which include melanoma and gastrointestinal disorders.

Paul K. Shitabata, M.D., is a board certified Clinical and Anatomic Pathologist. He also holds a board certification in dermatopathology. He received his medical degree from the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns’ School of Medicine, Honolulu, Hawaii. He served his pathology residency and a surgical pathology fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Torrance, California. He also served a fellowship in dermatopathology at Washington University Medical School, St. Louis, Missouri. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society.

Dr. Shitabata is a Clinical Associate Professor at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center where he directs the dermatopathology program for the Department of Dermatology. He is a Clinical Professor of Pathology, Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is also the President and owner of Dermatopathology Institute, Torrance, California

He is a member of numerous national and international pathology and dermatopathology societies. He has served as a member of the Leadership Development Committee and the Council in Public Affairs for the College of American Pathologists. He has numerous publications in the field of diagnostic pathology and dermatopathology and is a reviewer for Practical Reviews in Dermatology. He is also a noted creator and webmaster of several pathology related websites including The Doctor’s Doctor site.
