Associate’s Degree with 1 – 3 years histology experience, a High School Diploma with 5+ years histology experience or HT (ASCP) qualified
Overview
Positions will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of materials for study and diagnostic interpretation by the Pathologist according to established procedures.
Performance of pre-analytical, analytical and post analytical duties including tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, special staining, immunohistochemical stains, instrument maintenance, preparation of reagents and documentation of QC maintenance sheets.
Must perform procedures with an expected high degree of accuracy and in a timely manner in order that TAT standards are met. Ability to effectively and tactfully communicate with staff, ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, department P&P’s, ability to adapt to changes in work environment.
