Overview
This position has primary responsibility of design, development and implementation of interfaces between the laboratory information system and various EMR/Hospital applications.
Ability to use interface engine to translate, transform, and archive HL7 messages; develop interface specifications, report guidelines and formats, policies, procedures and documentation; organizes project meetings, training sessions and process reviews; delivers integration solutions in a timely and effective manner, following predefined processes and standards.
Demonstrates experience in HL7, in functional specifications, technical specifications, report design; documentation, systems analysis, user relations and vendor interactions. Experience with XML and XSLT is preferred, as well as programming/writing scripts in Java, C++, Visual Basic, Net, or other languages. Exposure to interface engines, specifically eTransx Hemi is preferred but not required.
Highly organized with proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload, and manage own time effectively. Adaptable and experience working in a fluid, dynamic environment. Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, troubleshooting and customer service abilities along with excellent oral, written and presentations skills.
