Associate’s Degree with 1 – 3 years histology experience, a High School Diploma with 5+ years histology experience or HT (ASCP) qualified
Overview
This position requires a thorough understanding of medical insurance carriers, & 3rd party billing. Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal regulations necessary. Familiar with billing practices to include denials, appeals, A/R review, and account follow-up. Experience with HCFA 1500 required. Qulaified candidates will have at least 3 year(s) medical laboratory based collections experience with the ability to handle large volume accounts, be a team player, and have a strong work ethic, be able to work with insurance companies to resolve payment of claims and have excellent customer service skills.
Possess strong desire and ability to meet and exceed monetary collection goals. Must be detail and results oriented.
