Specimen Requirements
Lavender EDTA Plasma or PPT tubes (K3EDTA with gel)
Store whole blood at 2°C to 25°C for no longer than 24 hours. Separate plasma from whole blood within 24 hours of collection by centrifugation at 800-1600 x g for 20 minutes at room temperature. Transfer plasma to a sterile polypropylene tube. IMPORTANT: Plasma must be removed from cells within 24 hours of collection time. |
